The World Muay Thai Federation (WMF) is proud to announce the 16th WMF Asian Open Muay Thai Championship, to be held in India in 2025, and hosted by Golden Mongkhon International (GMI). As a key event on the WMF calendar, this championship continues our mission to promote the art and sport of Muay Thai across Asia and beyond.
This prestigious tournament is open to WMF representatives from both Asian and non-Asian countries, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and international collaboration. The event will not only offer ranking points for athletes, but also provide an invaluable platform for cultural exchange and global recognition of talent.
Golden Mongkhon: Elevating Muay Thai in India
We are especially honored to partner with Golden Mongkhon International, the official WMF representative in India, for this edition of the championship. Over the past few years, GMI has played a vital role in shaping the growth of Muay Thai in the region—creating structured opportunities for athletes, training coaches and officials, and consistently producing talent for national and international competitions.
Their dedication to safety, professionalism, and authentic Muay Thai values has significantly contributed to India’s rising presence on the global stage. Hosting this continental championship is not just a milestone for GMI, but a proud moment for the entire Indian Muay Thai community.

- Professional (18–36 yrs)
Separate weight divisions are available for boys/men and girls/women in each category.
Registration Details
- Entry Fee (Seniors 18+): $35 USD
- Team Registration Fee: Waived (WMF has graciously waived the $500 team registration fee)
- Registration Deadline: June 15, 2025
- Note: Only teams staying at the official hotel will be eligible to participate. All international participants must apply for a visa via the Indian Embassy, Consulate, or a registered travel agent.
- Foreign Athletes: Must register through your country’s WMF representative
- Indian Athletes: Must register through Golden Mongkhon representatives only
